Hey there, thanks for stopping by. Here is a little bit about Justin.
Justin is a Film Production Freelancer currently living in Denver, Colorado. Originally from Montana, his first job was writing sports for the local paper, reporting on the Eagles of Fairfield High School while he was a student there. Also while in high school, Justin was part of the drama department, played trumpet in the band and was active in the choir & sports.
Justin graduated from the Colorado Media School in 2001. As a weekend sports reporter & stringer for KNRC, Justin attended every major sporting event in Colorado, covering NASCAR, the NFL, NBA, & the NHL. From there he worked his way up to become Director of Marketing & Promotions, first in Mobile, Alabama & then in Greenville, South Carolina, allowing him the opportunity to work with some of the biggest musical artists in the world.
Along with interacting with talent, Justin has also created & executed promotions, concerts & events for multiple station formats, like “Pimp My Life” & “Cook Him or Keep Him”, a Thanksgiving promotion with a live turkey. Justin enjoys challenging himself, both professionally, as his time in radio allowed, & personally, like walking in multiple Mardi Gras parades, one of which led to him dancing on stage with T.I. in a lime green pimp suit. Or participating in multiple on air radio stunts, with one of the more memorable ones having him stand on a street corner with an embarrassing sign in order to get news coverage for his radio station.
As his next challenge, Justin turned to film & television production, during which he has been blessed to work for such networks as Netflix, A&E, Spike, NBC, Discovery, WGN, EPIX & Paramount channel. He has worked as a Production Assistant, 2nd Assistant Camera, Field Coordinator & Associate Producer, & continues to learn & advance , though his real passion is writing. Justin's current project is a show he created, based on his many personal experiences in radio. The pilot is currently being shopped around.
Filmmaking is a huge privilege; it's not brain surgery. It's art, and art is supposed to be an enjoyable process, and it is an enjoyable experience for me.
